Let Us Tell Your Story in English

Tellme Translations LLC specializes in Spanish & Portuguese into English translations and interpretation. Emily Tell, founder of TT, has been providing quality translations and interpretation in the legal, financial and academic fields for almost 20 years. Emily’s career as a translator began when she worked as the Director of the Translations Department at Grasty, Quintana, Majlis y Cia., an international corporate law firm based in Santiago, Chile. There she worked side by side with the bilingual attorneys who taught her about the intricacies of the legalese found in corporate texts and how to naturally render them into English. Upon her return to the U.S., she gained experience in a NYC immigration law firm while building her business and added interpretation to her repertoire of language services. She became certified to interpret in the NJ and Immigration Courts. In addition to being passionate about languages, Emily founded TT to facilitate cross-cultural communication in a compassionate and proactive manner so that individuals and organizations can study, do business and live in the United States.

What People Are Saying

“Emily brings a good knowledge of South American culture to her translating. She asks questions about what you mean to say and offers alternatives. Her work is finished on time, in fact often ahead of time. She’s at the top of my list for translators.”

Eileen Prince, Language Acquisition Expert

“Emily has a strong background in the field of Spanish-English translation, expert writing skills with keen cultural sensitivity. She does precise work, often on a tight deadline. I particularly appreciate her knowledge of the U.S. Hispanic market and consumer. I recommend her without any reservation.”

Jose Melendrez, Editor

“I have practiced immigration law for 15 years and without a question, Emily is THE best translator I have ever worked with. What distinguishes her from others is that she is perfectly accurate – even to the nuances of what actually happened with a Respondent. Fellow attorneys, do not look elsewhere – you won’t be disappointed!!! I recommend her without reservation. AAA+++++”
